SUSTAINIBILITY
Sustainability lies at the core of our construction techniques. Turf One strives to be resource-efficient and environmentally responsible in its construction practices. We utilise recycled materials, where applicable, to prevent reusable material from being sent to landfills. Turf One’s in-house engineering team promote sustainable design solutions to repurpose end-of-life materials, use less carbon-intensive materials, thereby resulting in reduced CO2 emission. Our sustainable design solutions specify waste reduction, zero disposal and focus on water sensitive urban designs. Our design and execution techniques are constantly improving to promote sustainable practices and reduce the overall carbon footprint. Turf One provides sustainable designs solutions to meet the requirements of the local government.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS - SYNTHETIC
SYNTHETIC FIELDS
SYNTHETIC FIELDS
Turf One has constructed successfully numerous sporting venues in Victoria and Sydney using synthetic surface. At Petty’s Reserve, we utilised nearly 800t of recycled crushed rock as base material. Our synthetic grass system incorporates the use of recycled rubber as performance infill and shock pad manufactured from end-of-life rubber foams.

ENVIRONMENTAL
The benefits of choosing Turf One as your preferred contractor and using FieldTurf synthetic grass:
- Eliminates impact on water resources;
- Eliminates the use of tonnes of harmful pesticides, fertilizers, fungicies and herbicides, used on natural grass, that can run off into ground water;
- Significantly lowers the use of natural gas and other fossil fuels needed to produce lawn care chemicals;
- Eliminates grass clippings that are among the biggest landfill contributors to the greenhouse effect.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS - ACRYLIC
ACRYLIC SURFACES
ACRYLIC SURFACES
Turf One has designed and built multiple netball/tennis courts, where reclaimed asphalt and recycled crushed rock have been part of our pavement profile. In our recent project to the Frankston City Council, the existing asphalt surface was repurposed, preventing nearly 100t of asphalt from being sent to landfills.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS - INFILL
RECYCLED RUBBER - SBR
RECYCLED RUBBER - SBR
Rubber (SBR) is a sustainable, cost-efficient, and durable product made from recycled motor vehicle tyres. Processed through a rubber cracker mill at ambient temperature, the result is a more jagged rubber granule than its cryogenic cousin, creating a looser infill with air pockets which can lead to infill migration.
